China July 2014

The Chinese Leaf Venucia e30 is going to face some strong competition

Caught a Light Sneeze Edition

After seven(!) months growing uninterruptedly, the chinese EV market slowed down a bit to some 4.500 units, which is still FOUR times more the same month last year (1.046 units were sold then), and the EV Share went up a little more to 0,22%, which places China in #17 regarding EV popularity.

Looking at the models ranking, the Kandi EV phenomenon is now #1 YTD, dropping the Qin to #2, while the Zotye E20 (703 units) climbed to #4, benefiting from a poor performance from Tesla (Just 304 imports).

  1. 304 Tesla Model S were imported in July. It may not be same as what was sold in July.
